Having attended the Education Show as delegates in the past, we are really looking forward to making our debut as exhibitors at the NEC this week. We will be sharing a stand with the irrepressible team from Nightzookeeper, who have been creating waves with their innovative World Creative Writing Month event. For details of what they have been doing, click here.

Hopefully you can make time to visit Tagtiv8 and Nightzookeeper at Stand N53…a sort of BOGOF perhaps?

We are really looking forward to sharing our ideas and games with you. To whet your appetite, here is a quote from www.aussieED.com:

We bought Tagtiv8 a few months back and it lived under my desk for a while – big mistake! As soon as we opened it and explored the possibilities, we were astounded by the mathematical opportunities it offers, particularly the language and discussion of operations it encourages the children to do.

Every class is now using Tagtiv8 to offer maths in the wider curriculum. It is being used for a whole maths challenge day and is being proposed as a learning intervention next term. It is that good and that versatile to use.

We are often asked, “Is Tagtiv8 about PE or Numeracy & Literacy?” We respond that our unique active games are about all 3 areas…& more. To find out more, drop by and be like Alun Davies, Headteacher at Queensway Primary School in Leeds:

I didn’t get Tagtiv8 at first, but now I have seen it in action…NOW I GET IT!

You may wish to talk to us about our successful Activity Days and / or CPD packages. At a recent conference in Buckinghamshire, the PE teachers graded our training workshops:

  • Very Good: 55%
  • Excellent: 45%

Just last week, we delivered a training session at http://www.rawdonstpeters.org.uk/, where staff were sweating and buzzing with ideas, despite the ‘serious’ injury of a broken false nail!

I’m going to try this with my class tomorrow!

My boys are going to love this!

That was excellent…thank you!

Our CPD sessions are very much a 2 way process; our ethos is that ‘We are all Learners’. At the session above, the teaching staff gave us ideas in order to refine our existing games, as well as providing us with ideas for new games.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the Education Show and finding out about your ideas too. We will be on Stand N53, but will be learning too at the various summits, seminars and TeachMeet on Saturday with Ian Addison.
